Personal Project: Sacred Space_Adoption Memory Box
When I started my own non-profit "Paper Lantern: Resource Center for Korean Adoptees" one of the key initiatives I started was the idea of "memory boxes" in which I would gather adults and children together with their families and create a special place to make a box that holds their adoptive journey. This box is a way to communicate with myself on all topics related to my adoption journey as well as a way to share my adoption journey with my friends and family. The key component is to use our adoption papers, to use that as part of the box. Then any and all adoption-related items go into this box. I have done this session with 2 groups of people. I hope to get this back up and running soon.
