Client: Charlie Trotter
This cookbook for the famed Chicago chef carried the theme of “The Kitchen Sessions." Chef Trotter was inspired by jazz and that theme was felt in his cooking. Each of the 13 main categories for his recipes had divider pages that had to keep the loose, improvisational feel of jazz, through the use of the typography moving in and out with the headlines and different color combinations for each chapter to set the mood. This was the companion piece to his PBS cooking show.
It was my responsibility to take the template and complete from start tot finish the 244-page book. This was printed in 1997.
