Music & Desserts: Invite

Client: G2 Graphics Every year I host a small classical music salon in which my friends and I perform classical music. I created this event to harken back to the days before TV, radio, etc, in which people gathered in their living rooms and shared played music together. About 2-30 people attend. I chose to avoid the cliché of using the images of piano or music notes and decided to let the typography take center stage. I wanted the beauty of the letterforms to create the artwork. The evite had to capture the essence of the musical salon without it being stuffy. The goal of these events is to introduce classical music in a fun way without being stuffy. The invited needed to capture the mood of this event. And yes, I am going there...It has to hit the right note! :-)

I chose to let the typography take center stage. I wanted the beauty of the letterforms to create the artwork. The evite had to capture the essence of the music salon without being stuffy. It needed to capture the mood of this event and, yes, hit the right note.
